Blood types – What does it mean?
We are not all the same. Some people have blue eyes, some brown, some have straight blonde hair, and some have curly black hair. We cannot change our genetic make up, it is the foundation of all that is life. Trillions of cells within each of us are programmed from the color of our hair, to our body’s susceptibility to disease. I don’t claim to have all the answers, but I believe God is the creator of all creation. As we learn about the complex design of man, it just makes good sense to me that someone greater than you or I is in charge of this whole thing. I am not a biochemist, genealogist, or scientist, but a Doctor of Nature (Naturopathic). I invite you to try this Diet for four weeks, eating foods compatible to your Blood Type and avoiding foods that are not compatible.
Animal Instinct
Animals eat by instinct. Lions are meat eaters and would not be content if you tried to feed them a diet of hay and grain, like horses eat. This is no accident! Instinct is a protective mechanism for all animals, including humans.
Agglutination
One of the reasons why different blood types respond differently to certain foods is due to the effect dietary lectins (protein molecules) have on our body at the cellular level. In the blood stream, these negative responses occur due to a chemical reaction called agglutination.
Agglutination happens when we eat foods not compatible to our Blood type. Your body has antibodies that protect it from foreign invaders, so when your body recognizes an intruder, it produces more antibodies, or soldiers, to attack the invaders. The antibody then attaches itself to the intruder and a “gluing” effect (agglutination) takes place. The agglutination of cells, or clumping, will eventually break down the function of a system or organ in the body & lead to health problems. These lectins will stick randomly to blood cells in an organ or body system and interfere with normal function of that organ or system. For example, roll a tennis ball over a strip of Velcro. The tennis ball does not roll well over the Velcro and will hinder the ball from rolling. This is what happens when you eat foods that are not compatible to your blood type. Instead of the dietary lectins rolling over the blood cells in that system, they will stick like glue to the surface of the blood cells. For example, sometimes the digestive system will send out warning signs and give you symptoms like gas, bloating or indigestion which we usually just ignore.
- Ignoring symptoms is a dangerous thing, no matter if they do not seem important to you. (Cold hands and feet are signals, too.)
- We want an instant fix to stop the pain (Medication may be necessary. This information is not meant to persuade you to stop medication.)
- Address the Root Problem that is causing your body to send out signals. First, set a goal. Second, get a diagnosis from your Doctor. Third, change diet. Fourth, nutritional support. Fifth, give the body time to heal.
REMEMBER: The Body heals from the head down and in reverse order of symptoms. It also heals from the inside out. Before you begin your journey to a healthier lifestyle decide you are going to take charge of your health and accomplish your goals. First, you must Set Goals. Remember, these are your goals, and yours alone.
